Accessibility statement
Last updated: October 15, 2026
We want everyone to be able to use Ganiko: parents, staff and managers, including people with disabilities. This statement covers the Ganiko app (iOS, Android and web) and the ganiko.app site.
Conformance level
The app and the site are built to Israeli Standard 5568 (based on WCAG 2.0) at level AA, following the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.
What we did
- Screen readers: every button, image and icon has a description for screen readers (VoiceOver and TalkBack), and headings are marked as such.
- Larger text: screens are checked at 200% text size, with no content cut off.
- Contrast: text and background colors have a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1.
- Not color alone: every status (for example “arrived”, “not arrived”) is also shown in words, not only by color.
- Touch targets: every button is at least 48 by 48 points.
- Language and direction: Hebrew right to left and English left to right, with the language marked for screen readers.
- Keyboard: the site and the web version can be used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus.
- The site: a proper heading structure, real text (not images of text), and no animations or flashing content.
Known limitations
- Ganiko is in development. An audit by an external accessibility consultant is planned before launch, and we’ll update this statement after it.
- Photos uploaded by staff may not include a detailed text description of their content. Photos are described by date and event.
- If you run into a problem that isn’t listed here, we’d like to hear about it.
